An acoustic based set of songs that showcase Koger's masterful storytelling. Overall a light-hearted album with excellent songwriting and witty lyricism.

This is Matt Koger's third all original albums. Blackland (2006) and The Coyote's Call (2008) received high marks from critics and fans alike for original themes and creative lyrics. While this album is more acoustically driven, the songs are just as unique as ever. The set of songs and album in general were born of the atmosphere at Koger's favorite venue-The Blue Armadillo Winery in Greenville Texas. The title track is a tribute to the "Armadillo Time(s)" that are produced on a given Saturday night. Carneytown characterizes the unique residents of a Florida town. Moonlight is the happiest sound murder ballad you've never heard. Boys throws a spotlight on Koger's own sons (and yours too). Mile High Love is a story that goes from hilarious to hysterical. Old Man (Koger's sentimental favorite) reminds us that the "old men" we meet weren't always the "old man" we see now. Donuts, Beer and Wine pays tribute to a unique business that sells....you guessed it (and don't forget cigarettes and lottery tickets). What follows is Koger's wittiest song to date. Rushville Nebraska chronicles the true adventures of some hunters on a mid-west encounter that they never forgot. The Reckoning finds Koger returning to his dark story telling roots with an epic ballad that leaves you guessing.....just who killed who. Finally the beachside Ocean Notion finds the "land-locked" man missing his costal roots. As a bonus, a live version of Koger's fan-favorite James is included that features John David Kent on banjo. In summary, this is an unique album with sparse arrangements that include playing the floor on Moonlight. Enjoy.
