ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Growing up in Southern Oregon Matt was inspired by many art forms. As a child he pursued primarily theater and the visual arts, but music was always lingering in the background of everything he did. Eventually he decided writing poetry and short stories was his medium of choice, but after a serious accident in 2003 his perspective on life changed. Coming out of that accident, he found himself drawn inexplicably toward his guitar. Inspired most recently by the work of American singer/songwriters from Bob Dylan to Elliott Smith, the obvious conclusion was to try putting his writing to music. The outcome is an original blend of poetry and folk rock.

Deep insightful
This CD made tears come to my eyes when I listened to it the first couple of times. There are several songs on it that really made me remember and feel a whole episode in my life all over again. I guess it's personal, but I would recommend it highly!

Great Work
Transparency is underrated. Interesting how spiritual we can be even before we "Know" Him. What a delightfully pure sound and honesty. Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry to have infringed upon a past that music has a way of trying to bind us to, but thankfully for us, HIS freedom is eternal. So grateful He saved you for the world to enjoy.

Almost outrageously powerful: I would challenge anyone to listen to the entirety of this album and not be touched. Often insightful, his words always connect close the heart. A very talented musician who deserves many listens.

The songs are insightful and original. The lyrics are great and the melodies flow. I really recommend this to music listeners who are craving something new. Good guitar work is where its at and this has plenty. Enjoy!!!
