Album Notes
Matt Shenk is a performing singer songwriter. Some of his musical influences are James Taylor, Billy Joel, John Mayer, as well as all soul music ala Blues, Jazz, & R&B. This all blends to form a style of a modern day singer songwriter with a little touch of folk, rock, soul, and a lot of sincerity. He is currently performing full time all around Florida. He recently released his debut Solo Album "I Remember" @ the 2004 Winter Park Art Festival. Matt performed live at the Festival in conjuction with the #1 Central Florida Jazz Station WLOQ.Some of the other acts included some World Renowned Artist such as Joyce Cooling and Jonathan Butler.

Two weeks ago, on tuesdar Feb 24th I was in Orlando enjoying a Margarita on a bar in front of Cirque Solei in Down Town Disney in the afternoon. I heard Matt play guitar and sing "Ode to You". It is a great song, the whole CD is great. I bought it from him right there. I play guitar and I wish I could learn these songs, may be if I could get the cords? Great CD!
I really enjoy this CD. A mature and seasoned sound. Clearly confident in the genre. Matt is transparent in the things he has to say, and excellent in the way he says them. His guitar licks are accomplished, but I’m especially impressed by the phrasing. Don't miss the subtleties in his tone and expression! To be able to communicate heartfelt emotion with a guitar string is a gift and Matt has it.

This CD has a different sound to it than most. The music is soothing with words that really say something. I bought it to play in my retail store. Love it!

I saw Matt last night at 301 Park, and fell in love with him. I'm a huge fan of Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Coldplay, etc., and Matt is like listening to all my favorites, with a new twist. He's an amazing guitar player, and puts his heart and soul into his work. I'm going to be watching out for him on Pandora!
