solid and deliciously mixable

What I like best about Matt Swindells' new album is that it works on many levels. (1) it's solid musically. There is a variety to the songs, and yet they all hang together as a group. The overall feel is cool, sophisticated, yet whimsical and not too serious -- (2) it makes a great soundtrack for life: a drive in the country, or a brunch at home with friends, and (3) it mixes well on shuffle with other disks. Try it with some Charlie Parker, Todd Rundgren, and Beck. "Money in my Tea" is what hooked me, but what really delights me about this album is (4) every song is too good to skip. There's a lot of stuff out there by famous people I can't say that about. Good on ye, Matty lad!

creative, catchy, and well crafted compositions, with a bit of humor...humour?

This is some very nice work from an obviously talented individual who has got what it takes to make it(as soon as he gets released from jail for kicking in that van windshield).
plenty of great tunes, no two sound alike, Matt really keeps you guessing. I definitely like the XTC vibe that comes out on a few pieces. Plenty of layers and textures and clever lyrics on this CD.
Very Fun! Good luck to you, Matt!
