In the not-so-distant past two ingenious Swiss artists/instrument makers molded and fused two lap-sized steel hemispheres together and created a new musical instrument that has become a springboard for creativity among those fortunate enough to acquire one. The instrument is called Hang (meaning “hand” in their language), and Matt Venuti’s latest CD, Hangisphere, unveils the wonder and beauty of this magical new instrument in his very distinctive style.
