Album Notes

Marcel Mauceri began playing the guitar when he was 14 and playing for an audience at 16. He was first influenced by 70's-style hard rock, and later experimented with an acoustic, bluesier style, developing an original provocative sound. Born in France, he arrived in New York with not much more than his guitar. He played in smoky basement theaters and with bands at downtown venues such as the Knitting Factory and CBGB's. Later, he worked out original compositions in an acoustic folk-rock duo he formed with his future wife, Susie, who wrote the lyrics. The two played at coffee houses and small clubs in New York, Paris and Santa Barbara, California where they now live. Marcel Mauceri currently focuses on composing and recording original songs, delivering Susie Mauceri's lyrics in sultry tones.
