My Life Remade

I sat with my toys. This CD was recorded, mixed, mastered and manufactured in my cabin. I also wrote all of these songs. I was tempted to call this CD "greatest hits" but I think the definition of a hit has something to do with sales and airplay.

Thanks for listening!
I hope you enjoy it...

My Life

My life is leading me somewhere
I'm not sure I want to be.
And everyone keeps telling me
that life is not the life for me.
They don't know what makes me happy
I wish they'd just let me be.

See I don't care what they say
I'm gonna do it my way
starting today

I got a life to be free
I got things to do now
and places to be

When I'm done
I won't look back
If I do I'll only see
what it lacks

It's a new beginning
I'm on my way
to a better life
I hope to find someday

Three Finger Blues

God damn that nasty machine
It didn't even cut it clean
I got blood on my tennis shoes
Now I sit here and sing the 3 finger blues

3 finger, 3 finger blues
I got 3 fingers and sing the blues
3 finger, 3 finger blues
If I could only do what I use to do

Like eating popcorn can be such a drag
Most of it just stays in the bag
M and M's are terrible too
there's a hole in my grip where they all fall thru

3 finger, 3 finger blues
I got 3 fingers and sing the blues
3 finger, 3 finger blues
If I could only do what I use to do

Most of you don't quite understand
What it is to be missing part of your left hand
If you can just do what I do
Sing with me when I sing the blues

3 finger, 3 finger blues
I got 3 fingers and sing the blues
3 finger, 3 finger blues
If I could only do what I use to do

My Window

Looking out my window
watching your front door
seeing you come and go
You don't love me anymore
You don't love me anymore

Another night and I'm here alone
Your car is parked outside
I know you're not home alone
And I just sit here and cry
I just sit here and cry
I just sit here and cry

Well I know time is gonna help me out
It's gonna see me through
If it don't bring back to me
It'll bring me someone new
bring me someone new

Over you

I can't get over you
and it's been a long long time
I don't know what to do
I just want you to be mine

You said that it would end
You couldn't see yourself with me
For now I can pretend
This is how it's suppose to be

I can't forget your face
or the look that's in your eyes
And I cannot believe
our love was meant to die

So I went away,
I couldn't take it anymore
I knew I couldn't stay
and be locked outside your door

If I could talk to you
If I could only hear you say
You feel the same way too
Don't you miss me everyday

I can't forget your face
or the look that's in your eyes
And I cannot believe
our love was meant to die

I can't get over you
No I can't get over you

I can't get over you
No I can't get over you

The Blues Caught Me...

Chicago called, I came a runnin
Hope a plane, was there that night

And the blues they caught me
Oooo, when I got to Chicago

I left my lovers from where I came
I went year, didn't get laid

And the blues they caught me
Oooo, when I got to Chicago

The blues they caught me
When I got to Chicago

I'll start my life all over again
haunted by my past and when
the ghosts are gone
I'll try again
in Chicago

I fell in love, it was all wrong
All I got was a vapid song

And the blues they caught me
Oooo, when I got to Chicago

I had a car but it died
now the El is my only ride

And the blues they caught me
Oooo, when I got to Chicago

The blues they caught me
When I got to Chicago

Could Be

When I first met you
I felt I found a long lost love
But I'll never kiss you
And I'll never hold you through the night

But when I hold your hand in mine
Or when I look into your eyes

I see a future
I see all that we could be
But it's just an illusion
My heart is telling me a lie

But when I hear the words you say
And we do the things we do

I'll hope there's something
I want to make this dream come true
I want to make this dream come true

Apathy

I'm sick of writing love songs
Some bird set me free
I won't write no more love songs
I'm gonna write about what I see

Like life can really suck sometimes
Especially when it drags
I could give a " " these days
It seems to be all I say

Fuck it!
Fuck it!
Fuck it!

I could give a " " you know
Just kiss my ass and let me go
Yank me crank me turn me loose
Find my friends and get some booze
Really gonna get drunk tonight
and with a little luck
Find some girl who's NOT uptight
and maybe...

I could give a " " these days
about anything you say
I don't just what I want
Just let me get away
I'll wander sitting where I am
and come back time to time
Live in this world of my own
writing stupid rhymes...

Fuck it!

Rainbow Bar

He enters and stands in his place each day
He knows them all and their special ways
She's a hooker and he a loser
Boy she's ugly, why'd he choose her

Grab a stool or belly up
bend your elbow and drink 'em up
sit back and watch
it'll be bizarre cuz
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar

She walks in and surveys the place
She'll pick a partner with a pretty face
The drinks go fast and so does she
Can't settle for one and still be free

So grab a stool don't bet your luck
If you're unlucky she'll pick you up
Sit back and wait
it'll be bizarre cuz
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar

Oblivious to who's watching they drink 'til they're numb
Their inhibitors gone they're gonna cum
His hand's up her shirt her hand's in his pants
Everybody watches their drunken romance

So grab a stool, take in the show
What's gonna happen tonight everyone know
That's why they come
cuz it's so bizarre and
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar

The icon couple they drink every night
It's a gothic scene in this smokey sight
They smell someone coming before he's there
It's the fragrant guy who can change the air

So grab a stool and hold your nose
What's gonna happen tonight nobody know
But you can count on it
it'll be bizarre cuz
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar

Throwing darts to have something to do
It get interesting when he's had a few
He tell a story of the other night
Clothes pins on her nipples made her feel alright

So grab a stool and listen up
What you hear might shake you up
And you can bet
it'll be bizarre cuz
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar

The irritant arrives and he won't shut up
You try talking but he'll interrupt
He'll make his rounds but he'll be back
He in the alley smoking some crack

Grab a stool or belly up
bend your elbow and drink 'em up
sit back and watch
it'll be bizarre cuz
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar
There's always a full moon over the Rainbow Bar

Bit Head

Brain dead bit head nowhere to turn
logged in head spin crash and burn
Bit swap core dump can't get it done
No more free time no time for fun

I just want to get up in the morning
I just wanna fall asleep at night
In between times just making due
Make the connections and try to get through

Roll out log in the magic word
bathrobe no go life as a nerd
walk there nowhere roaming the streets
dollar coffee get something to eat

I just want to get up in the morning
I just wanna fall asleep at night
In between times just making due
Make the connections and try to get through

Rent's due and I'm blue, it's fear of the street
Income out go never complete
down time beer time sit in the bar
going nowhere I won't get too far

I just want to get up in the morning
I just wanna fall asleep at night
In between times just making due
Make the connections and try to get through

Conduit through the cash flows to go
passing the buck everyone knows
you make it break it money's to spend
eat shit and live long and die in the end

I just want to get up in the morning
I just wanna fall asleep at night
In between times just making due
Make the connections and try to get through

I Wish

I wish that I could sing you a song
But I've said it all before and got it wrong

All of our laughter and good times are gone
The timing wasn't right, it's time to move on.

I never intended to fall in love with you
I never intended to dream what we could do
I only wanted you to love me too

The days pass by and you're still on my mind
If I could turn it off or turn back time

I'd do things different, I'd let you see
All the love for you hiding inside me

I never intended to fall in love with you
I never intended to dream what we could do
I only wanted you to love me too

Well, I guess I just sang you a song
Now I'll fade away to where I belong
