18 song CD from poet and guitarist Max Ochs. Forty years playing and composing, he learned in person from the greats: Mississippi John Hurt, Skip James and Son House, all of whom stayed at Max's house in early 60's New York City. Played with Buzz Linhardt in The Seventh Sons. Played with Russell Stone in Howdy Duty. Friend of John Fahey, Mike Stewart (Backwards Sam Firk) and Neil Harpe. Like Pete Seeger,he loves to get people singing. Especially loves to play old Piedmont and Delta blues. Went to Japan as guest of Gunma Blues Socety in 2001. Once in a while he writes a new song.

So it is 196? in the Haight and Fillmore districts of SF and this guy is spontaneously creating songs as he wanders about whoever and whatever he encounters and I say how did you get like this and he said MILAREPA so I studied Tibetan Buddhism for forty years until the movie came out..I can only remember one line he sang,"If anybody forgets to breathe.... we are going to have to ask them to leave. I'd buy it if I were you. Hi Max.

The story of Max Ochs, great musician and friend
author: Alan Rodriguez
In this review I will explain why Max Ochs is the greatest of all time. It will be obvious for all to see that Max Ochs is the best music artist of all time and every other band is pure garbage compared to him, without a doubt. There is no question whatsoever. Allow me to elaborate...
Max Ochs is truly a superior artist in this day and age. Instead of "selling out" and resorting to profanities and sexual innuendo, he superbly transcends the age border by dastardly defying all "boundaries" with his amazingly good, wholesome, family music. Today - many years after his demise at the hands of his rival, Urkel in Armor - he is remembered with many a teary eye as a country and folk legend. Indeed, that dark day when Urkel in Armor chucked him off of a cliff on live national television, will live on in infamy.
Also, like the previous reviewer commented, he has thrown potporri's brother into a pit of scorpions and death on many occassions while laughing with sadistic glee. Well, I would continue talking about Max Ochs' great deeds of justice but it's time to go eat people now.

Why you should buy three copies of this CD
author: Hungry, Hungry Hippo
I can't help but purr with satisfaction every night at the soothing sounds of country legend, Max Ochs.
If you're like me, you've already bought three copies of his newest CD - one to listen to, another to carress lovingly each and every day, and a third to chuck at potporri's brother. So...what are you waiting for? Order this CD right now. It was the best purchase I ever made, and I guarantee that you will not regret it. Trust me.

An excellent CD
author: Eric Bentley
My name is Eric Bentley, acclaimed author and amateur music reviewer, and I have to say that this is the most excellent album I have come across in recent years. Max's harmony and tunes are delightfully sweet to the ears. It is not often that one sees such wholesome entertainment in these corrupt, modern times. I would highly recommend this to anyone. (Also I would very much recommend my latest book: "Bush Betrayed the Nation")
