Formerly known as Debbie Taylor, Maydie Myles was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia where, as a young child, she started singing gospel in her father's church. She recorded and toured with two local gospel groups as a teenager but her love of Jazz and R&B led to contracts with Decca Records and later with Arista. She has recorded with The Holmes Brothers, The Blues Brothers Band, Jesse “Wild Bill” Austin and Cornelius Bumpus, and has appeared at the Poconos Jazz Festival with Jimmy McGriff, the Westchester Jazz Festival, and the Westport Blues Festival. The house music she recorded for the K London Production Club won rave reviews, climbing the charts in the top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music. Her rich, soul-stirring voice can be heard at numerous events and venues throughout the Tri-State area. She is also a jingle singer for several major houses in New York and is an award-winning voice of theme songs for several wrestlers in the WWE.
