Album Notes

This first release from the Michigan based Mayfields has something for everyone to enjoy. For those listeners that enjoy wide ranges of musical genres from country to blues to americana to rock to jazz and everything in between, you will find a gem in this album for you to enjoy.

Recorded over the span of a year at birdcage studios in Holland Michigan, Radio Science has been crafted by a group of dedicated local musicians from other area bands famous over the past decades such as Bethlehem Rose, The Voice, Jupiter Plume, The Jonnies, The Frog and the Beeftones, 7 Second Echo and many others.

Combine the fantastic musical talent with premier songwriting from Patrick Dawdy, P.T. Malloy and Jovo Filips and you get a great musical experience. It was also important that the entire Radio Science work flow smoothly and intelligently. Thus the listener will come to song interpreted by The Mayfields which include composers Vince Gill, Steve Earle and amazing rendition of Wild Country by gone-too-soon legend that is Chris Whitley.

Each track can be enjoyed using the contemporary listener practice and convenience found in portable music players. Old-school listeners, those that listen to an entire work from start to finish, will be met with a thoughtful and emotional musical experience by the discs arrangement of songs.
