Poughkeepsie, NY native and singer/songwriter Michael Mazochi blends the influences of folk, rock n' roll, country, and blues into his songwriting. At an early age Mazochi was influenced by the music of Townes Van Zandt, Neil Young, Johnny Cash, Son House, Bruce Springsteen, Hank Williams, and Bob Dylan. Mazochi has been playing coffeehouses, bars, cafes, and colleges for the past few years. He delivers his music live through vocal, guitar, & harmonica based performances. Concerning the album "A Day without the Rose" Mazochi recalls "I had to learn how to play a bunch of new intstruments out of both desire to keep the DIY ethic and necessity...Producing an album alone is always a daunting task but I hope folks enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it."
