Album Notes

The name Mark Bernstein may not be familiar to most parents, but it will be. "Walk with Me" is the debut album from this married father of one. What makes this album unique is the fact that Bernstein is targeting elementary aged children and their parents. "I didn't want to make an album that talks about animals in the zoo or how to brush your teeth", states Bernstein, "I wanted to write pop songs with themes that are important and relevant to kids of all ages". Bernstein not only promises that kids will loves his music but adults and parents will love the songs as well. "The last thing I want to do is drive parents crazy or bore them to no end. I'm completely aware that parents have to listen to their child's favorite albums over and over again so I make sure to appeal to all age groups".

Bernstein interjects his upbringing into his music. Raised on 80s pop, he keeps his songs upbeat, melodic, and engaging. Lyrically, he wants every song to have meaning. "Each song has a theme or message that I want to get across. Sometimes it's obvious and sometimes it's more subtle. This is where parents come in. I want this album to be something families can enjoy listening to together and it can potentially serve as a way for parents and children to communicate as well".

I thoroughly enjoy this CD. Considering how many times I have listened to it - my grandchildren sing along with some of the songs - I have not tired of it. Walk with Me is very melodic and upbeat. It makes a great gift. This CD is definitely a buy.

This CD makes you smile!

I love this CD because it is so fun and happy!  Each song has meaning and it makes you want to sing along and tap your feet.  It relates to children and things that are important in their lives.  While my kindergarten students love it, it is also a CD I can play in the car and enjoy.  Perfect for all ages!

I loved the CD because it is unique.  Its lyrics and music are original which certainly speaks highly of the performer. I think that kids as well as adults willconnect with the sweetness and sincerity shown in the music.  I find myself singing some of the songs outloud.

I love this CD and so does my 11/2 year old daughter. I am also a 1st grade teacher and my students beg to listen to this CD.  They especially like "Things I'd Rather Do [Than Smoke]".  The songs are great sing alongs and so much fun.  They also are great for teachers and tie into themes like Patriotism, friendship, Red Ribbon Week, self-esteem and much more. They're not your usual hum drum school songs.  You'll find yourself and your kids dancing,laughing, smiling and singing along.
