The McClellan-Livingston Guitar Duo has performed throughout the Midwest, offering audiences recitals ranging from arrangements of Baroque masterpieces to contemporary Brazilian music written for 2 Guitars.
Based in St. Louis, the Duo is comprised of Walker McClellan and Barry Livingston. The two met while studying at Webster University (also in St. Louis), and have been performing professionally together for over 5 years.
Barry Livingston is a composer as well as a guitarist and holds two M.M. degrees - one in composition and one in guitar performance. In addition to his work in the Duo, he continues to compose and is currently involved in multiple recording projects.
Walker McClellan is an active jazz musician as well as a classical guitarist, and has performed with some of St. Louis's most esteemed jazz players. He has traveled to Eastern Europe in past years to perform and teach for the International Polish/American Jazz Educators.
In addition to their musical studies at Webster University, both members of the Duo have studied in Master Class settings with some of the world's finest classical guitarists, including David Russell, Paulo Bellinati, William Kanengiser, Christopher Parkening, and Elliot Fisk.
This self-titled release is the Duo's debut CD, presenting some of their favorite repertoire. The musical choices range from arrangements of Renaissance Lute music to modern Latin music composed for 2 guitars.

Peaceful
author: Beth H.
I am impressed with this album. The craftsmanship of the playing on this album is apparent and the reverence for the pieces that were chosen is obvious. Well done! The music itself is peaceful and a lovely respite.

Relaxing!
author: Nick Kubik
A pleasant escape for the day to day barrage of popular music you just can't seem to get away from. The playing is clean and tight. I look forward to the next album!
