notes
Here's the newest release by Peter McCory, a popular one-man band for kids and families in the Washington, D.C. area. "Fingernail Fairy" features 16 original funny, upbeat songs for kids ages preschool through late elementary, with interesting language, sound effects and a variety of instruments. Peter plays them all!
"Fingernail Fairy" won a 2004 Parents Choice Recommended Award, and positive reviews in Booklist magazine (Journal of the American Library Association) and School Library Journal.
This is Peter's second release. His first, "The Big Blue Ball," released in 2000, won a Parents' Choice Recommended Award and positive reviews in School Library Journal and Booklist magazine.
"Fingernail Fairy" contains songs about such things as getting gum stuck on your shoe, a dad who can't stop dancing, acting like dinosaurs, and putting a fingernail under your pillow to see if there's a fairy for that!
Kids will want to dance, clap and sing along with Peter's happy songs. So will parents!

Wonderful CD
author: Maggie S.This is a wonderfully arranged, orchestrated and sung CD. Very toe-tapping, head bobbing, addicting CD. My children learned a lot of their vocabulary from Peter McCory CDs and it's a pure joy for them to listen and sing along to him. Parents will wonder why this guy is not a nationally recognized superstar.
Our new family favorite!
author: Michelle SmithWith a 4 year old and an 8 year old is is very hard to find music thy both enjoy and they both love fingernail fairy, so do Mom and Dad!
We were twirling and singing the words after 2nd playing. Thank you Peter.
author: Linda BoazI love that this set of songs puts a fun twist on common child experiences. Onomatopoeia is one of my favorites and the fact that my 2 year old already can say and knows what the word means is a testament to the fun way that the information is presented. They also have fun picking the flower names out the Flower Song. They have also taken to singing Read a Book as they enter the library. We will cherish this set of songs just like we do Big Blue Ball. Thank you Peter.
