Album Notes

Here’s a collection of songs I hope will make you want to jump, dance and tap your toes. Many of these songs were written for specific groups of kids or places where I perform. Others came from song ideas given to me by kids! One was even written as a tribute to a wonderful kindergarten teacher. My songs come from everywhere! I hope they’ll stick with you and make you smile.

The phrase, “Get All Happy,” was coined by my own children, usually as a prompt to our old hound dog, Lucy, who just never seemed to get too excited about anything. The phrase may not be grammatically correct, but I love it because it captures the way children put words together. And in this case, I couldn’t think of a better way to put it. I “get all happy” whenever I play and sing for children. I hope you’ll feel it in these songs, and that some the happy will spread.
