Mark McCue's first band was The Trilobites, a pop edged three piece that came out of Sydney, Australia with McCue on bass and lead vocals, Peter Bastick on guitar and Paul Dunn on drums.
McCue and Dunn remained together through several line-up and band name changes but it was with the line-up you hear on thiRst that they first got into a studio to record an album. All of the songs on the album were written by McCue with the exception of "Own Man" which he co-wrote with Sydney based lyricist Barry O'Rielly.
The thiRst line up also featured Dunn's brother Jack on guitar, Lucas Barrett on vocals and keyboards and Andy Gillett on bass.
With two exceptional lead vocalists in McCue and Barrett and the harmonising talents of Paul Dunn, the thiRst live shows replicated the powerful vocals and harmonies featured on this album.
Dry, buzz saw guitars mix with the soaring vocals to produce a sound somewhere between the Beatles, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and Soundgarden.

This CD rocks!

I happen to love guitar rock and this album does not disappoint. The guitar sound has an old style Les Paul (the guitar) thickness to it with interesting arrangements and cool harmonies. Great vocals too.
