Album Notes

"Presenting Jimmy McDaniels", consists of all original compositions. The creativity is a collaboration of work of an extremely talented trio; Tom Wiggins, the lyricist, Jimmy Coe, the arranger and Jimmy McDaniels, the composer. Tom Wiggins and Jimmy Coe have long been associated with Jimmy McDaniels and their magic is well show-cased in this gathering of new music.

After 6:00p.m. in Indianapolis, the nation's 11th largest city. The cocktail lounges are busy, the supper clubs are beginning to fill, the piano bars feature the sounds of singing and laughter. One question keeps coming up, "Where's Jimmy? You see there is this great guy, who's fun and you'll love his music. Let's go hear Jimmy."

Jimmy was raised in Fairfield, Alabama. He is a member of the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame and the Indiana Jazz Hall of Fame. His talents as a performer and conductor are well known. He has performed with and conducted for such stars as Cab Calloway, June Christy, Nat"King"Cole, Rosemary Clooney, Mel Torme, Joe Williams, Lionel Hampton, Sammy Davis, Jr., Nellie Letcher and many others. Jimmy has appeared at major supper clubs in the Indianapolis area and in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The study, the experience, the talent, comes together in this collection of his greatest hits!

This great music sounds just as good online as it does on vinyl. I was siting in with Jimmy at Aristos when he was working on this "album" and have him to thank for much of my musical direction. Still searchin; so little time. Great music; great guy.
