Album Notes

This is Calley McGrane and the Exiles' third CD and its motif, the flags of the seven Celtic nations, reflects the inspiration of not just Irish music, but also the music of the various other Celtic nations. Many of the fiddle tunes are based on traditional music but are played with a driving rythym section. Also there a number of celtic rock and progressive rock covers on the CD which combine to place the CD in what we call "Celtic Alt-Rock" genre. The CD is high energy and good times throughout. Nine of the fourteen tracks are studio versions, however there an additional five tracks at the end of the CD recorded in a raucous live session at a local Irish club.
