Fantastic Follow Up Album From the Best Scottish Fiddle Band Around
author: Bo Bare
This is the follow up album from what is simply the best Scottish fiddle band around today. I catch a lot of Scottish fiddle music, especially from some of the great U.S. Scottish fiddlers on the scene today (Jeremy Kittle, Brandon Vance, Jamie Laval, Laura Cortese, Hanneke Cassel, Lissa Schneckenberger, etc.), but these guys are the absolute best. Every time I see them in person they're top notch and they always seem to have a slew of new songs that make me wish they had a new album out. This album is unbelievable and should not be missed. The title track Tripping Maggie is just unsurpassed in it's layered instrumentation and Culloden gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. I would definitely recommend this album and their 1st one as well Tall Tales.
