Kevin McKrell
Lead singer and principle songwriter in 80’s popular Irish
Folk band Donnybrook Fair and Celtic Bluegrass Band The
McKrells Kevin McKrell has gone on to perform on the
venerable stages of Carnegie Hall ,Troy Music Hall, Berklee
Performance Hall and Lincoln Center . With perfomances at
some of the top music festivals including, Winterhawk
Bluegrass Festival, The Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, , Canyon
Country Bluegrass Festival, Friehofer Jazz Festival, Celtic
festivals in Milwaukee, Savannah , Philadelphia , Buffalo.
Northeast Country Music Association Male Vocalist of the
Year 2000, writer of The Northeast Country Music
Association Song of the Year 2000, Albany N.Y. Times
Union Singer-Songwriter of the year 2000. Kevin McKrells
songs have been recorded by Celtic and Folk artists from
around the world, from Ireland The Furey Brothers and
Seamus Kennedy from Australia Pat McKernan from the
United States The Kingston Trio and Hair of The Dog to
name a few. Kevin McKrell- Kevin songs have been recorded and performed by many groups, including Irish folk icons The Furey Brothers , Seamus Kennedy, Scottish folk band North Sea Gas, Irish American favs Hair of the Dog, The Woods Tea Company, Australia Folksinger Pat McKernan and most recently folk giants The Kingston Trio. As well as on Folk icon Bob Shane’s new recording ‘ The World Needs a Melody ’ In a review of the Kingston Trio By Robert Friedman, Mr Friedman wrote “ the Trio performed a new song titled ALL THE HARD DAYS ARE GONE by songwriter Kevin McKrell. Other than ROLLING RIVER, this is the best new song to come to the Trio in thirty years “

Katie McKrell- Katie first took the stage at 5 years old and wowed the house with a spectacular version of The Rattlin' Bog. She has been writing songs and performing ever since. Katie is also playing percussion/guitar and singing with The Travelling People. An accomplished and insightful songwriter, witty engaging performer.
