Album Notes

Traditional Irish and Origional music.
When an Irishman, singer song writer, living in LA who has Played almost all of the Irish bars and Irish clubs on the California west coast and dozens of clubs and pubs in a large variety of Countries around the globe gets together with what amounts to be the finest musicians in LA, some thing good is going to happen. It has.

While some of the longtime performers in traditional music such as the Cheiftains have enjoyed a good deal of popularity in the US, there is a younger generation of Celtic musicians who are bringing new vitality to the style, going beyond the strictly traditional. Jerry McLean, who spent most of his formative years in Ireland, is certainly one of them. McLean is a first rate lyric writer with a warm appealing vocal style that has been compared to that of the legendry Irish singer, Christy Moore. Jerry excels both musically and lyrically, with always interesting arrangements which give unexpected textures to the songs that reveal something new each time you listen. Enjoy some traditional music and Jerry's new origionals that are certain to become classics in their own time. Alternet Music Press.
