Album Notes

My main focus for this project was to create a record capturing the intuitive relationship between a singer and his pianist. Musical storytelling of the 1930's and 40's swing era was also a big feature of this album, a genre I have sourced music from throughout my career. The 'piano bar' singer famous for this music has sadly become extinct since the passing of 'Ol Blue Eyes', kept alive only by the likes of Tony Bennett and a handful of others. I hope to be one of the few to restore this dying art form. The timeless music of Let's Fall in Love is ideally played relaxing with a glass of red and a special someone to fall in love with, all over again. Enjoy.

Troy McMillin is in demand as a vocalist because of his beautiful voice, extraordinary musicianship, keenly tuned ear and for the abundant professionalism he brings to every performance. Troy has worked extensively on television and in live venues, and is greatly respected
by everyone in the industry. What I didn't realise, until hearing him in the context of this studio recording, is how beautifully and sensitively he can interpret a lyric, tell a story, and weave his unstoppable musical passion through the melody of a well-loved "standard", bringing
to it a freshness and spontaneity that can only result from the combination of a classic old song and a classy young singer. Troy McMillin and Michael Harding are a powerful musical combination, and together with their musical friends have created a fine record.
