Barbara McNairy opened for gospel diva Vicki Winans at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center in Lancaster, Ca. She has opened for Jamie Jones; of All 4 One group at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center as well. She has been in concert at the Palmdale Playhouse and has sung at BB King's House of Blues at Universal City Walk for a gospel event.
Barbara McNairy is a two time Bravo Music Award nominee who is a songwriter, singer,and producer. Her motto is "don't give up don't give in with God you can win"! She has been spreading the word through her music in churches, events at parks, hotels, restuarants, youth conferences, musicals, concerts,senior citizen and convalescent homes, prisons, Radisson Hotel for an AT&T Gospel breakfast event,Juneteenth Celebrations.
Barbara was a singer with the Faith Tabernacle Voices of Chicago under the direction of the minister of music, recording gospel artist Calvin Bridges. With this choir; she was able to sing in some capacity with such talented singers as Walt Whitman the founder of the Soul Children of Chicago, Albertina Walker, Keith Pringle, Ricky Grundy, Vanessa Bell Armstrong.
Barbara's vision is to touch one, reach one worldwide through global music ministry both live and on the air. She is determined to spread the love and Word of God through song.
Barbara is working on her new gospel Cd " Come Closer Lord" to have a Fall 2008 release. She has released 3 gospel Cd's " I Owe It All To You","I Give You Praise", and "Live At the Palmdale Playhouse 2006"; and a Christmas Cd "Let's Celebrate". She has a music video and several dvd's.
She has sung at the Antelope Valley Mall, Antelope Valley Fair, Gospel Explosion at McAdams Park, Youth Conference at Assembly of God in Stockton, Ca., Sunnyslope Assembly Church in Hollister, Ca. Palmdale Methodist Church in Palmdale, Ca., Los Angeles Bilingual Parent Workshop, World Religion Day sponsored by the Antelope Valley Baha'i Institute, NAACP Program, Hollywood Park Pavillion Ballroom in Los Angeles, Ca. Radison West Hotel in Culver City, Ca.She continues to spread the word in song all around.
Barbara has been Teacher of the Year for the Palmdale School District, 2 time Teacher of the Year for Joshua Hills School, Antelope Valley African American Woman of the Year, Whosoever Will Church Woman of the Year, Outstanding community leader honored by the Eagle Vision Church, Who' Who of American Top Teachers -4 times, 2 times Disney Teacher nominee, 2 time role model award recipient.She will be honored as a legend in the community the end of Feb 2007 by the Mayor of Palmdale, Ca. This honor is recognizing her contributions in the community.
