Album Notes

This is the first in a series of live recordings from Larry John McNally. Not live in the sense that we rolled up the soundtruck and recording engineers, but live in the sense that we recorded off the soundboard, or from a walkman on the stage etc. Carefully selected for vibe, these recordings are the captured magical moments that are hard to come by in the calculated studio setting. Recorded in New York, Philadelphia, Amsterdam, Nashville and beyond,it features friends of LJM including Jennifer Kimball, Leni Stern, Jesse Harris, Timothy Hill, and the New York version of The Vibrolux Soul Supreme Orchestra: Denny McDermott & Lincoln Schleifer. Features songs from different phases of LJM's career including several never before released. Includes covers of Gillian Welch, Don Everly and Jimi Hendrix.

REVIEWS

It's worth it
author: Jack Durieux

Well, Larry John is one of the very few artist who can claim not to have never done any musical "mistake". Ever since his first solo album in 1980, LJ has granted his listeners with great classic songs and wonderful vibes. He's got the groove alright, knows how to grab a guitar for sure. What about his one of a kind voice? This "Live in Lo-Fi" rends all these quality in a rough way but is defenitely worth buying and listening on a good pair of head sets. If you usually spends your money on bootleg, then spend your money on this one, the money goes to the right guy and he will keep on making great music and great records.

Excellent compilation of a master craftsman's music
author: Anne Duke

Larry John McNally's music splinters the standard musical genres of folk, rock, blues, and pop. His grainy, edgy lyrics are complimented by finely polished melodies that are sure to please in this excellent compilation album by a master craftsman singer-songwriter. A must have!
