Album Notes

Recorded in N.E.H. Studios in Denver, Colorado, this album features McPherson's vocals, guitar and songwriting skills. He drafted seasoned recording artists to support the project including musicians from such bands as Axe, Frank Zappa, Blackfoot, Wind Machine, Warren Zevon, Steve Vai, Rose Tattoo, and Edge Of Forever. It was produced by Bobby Barth (Axe, Blackfoot, Angry Anderson) who contributed two songs to the effort and also plays guitar and provides backing vocals. Bob Harris (Axe, Frank Zappa, Warren Zevon, Boulder, Edge Of Forever) also adds backing vocals, keyboards and trumpet. Fretless bass was provided by Blake Eberhard of Wind Machine. The album was mixed and mastered by former Frank Zappa engineer Mark Pinske.

haunting, melodic, superbly arranged and engineered. The lyrics to most of the tracks reflect a songwriter that should have become a household name. Sadly it is up to the listener to discover McPerson. The bass work on Endless Compromise and Where is the One sets this work apart from most muscians of this genre. McPherson's voice adds to the richness of his lyrics especially on Endless Compromise. Buy this CD. You'll not regret it.
