Album Notes

Just ASK is the first release of the ASK Sisters, Alexandra, Stefanie and Katharine Petkovski. Alexandra is 15, Stefanie is 12 and Katharine is 9, and they are already very experienced young musicians, playing piano from the age of 3, and studying a variety of other instruments as well.

Alexandra Petkovski is a gifted musician. At 15 she has completed Grade 9 at Cawthra School of the Arts in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada with honours, and was awarded an Award of Excellence for Music. She is currently working on her ARCT. She has performed dozens of times at various competitive music festivals including at the Ontario Provincial Music Festival, and has performed numerous times at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre and live on TV. Alexandra Petkovski performs both classical and jazz piano pieces, and has studies vocal, cello, saxophone and flute. She teaches several young piano students from her home studio, preparing them for RCM exams and festivals. Also an aspiring actor, Alexandra performed in a short musical which was shown at the 2007 Cannes Movie Festival.

Stefanie Petkovski is a gifted musician. She is currently working on her Grade 10 Piano (RCM). Stefanie has performed at numerous music festivals, winning several awards and scholarships. She performs both classical and jazz piano pieces, and also studies music harmony, vocal, clarinet and violin. She teaches several young piano students at her home studio. At school, Stefanie plays clarinet in the band and in her spare time, she enjoys gymnastics, trampoline and swimming.

Katharine Petkovski is a talented musician and performer, who has performed in many music festivals and concerts in front of large audiences. At 9 years old, she is currently working on her Grade 8 Piano (RCM) & Grade 2 Vocal. She has also learned to play drums, violin and harmonica. Katharine is a natural performer who has a gift for imitating accents. She also enjoys tennis, soccer, swimming, gymnastics and skiing.

Just ASK is their first compilation of original songs (with the exception of one Disney song) – music & lyrics – on which they perform exclusively vocals. The songs will appeal to listeners of every age. Their goal is to develop as musicians and songwriters.
