Bio

Marie Della Thomas - one of New York’s finest gospel singers! Marie is a Singer, songwritter, and business women. Marie is a graduate of LaGuardia HS of Music and Arts in New York City. Marie has sung backup for some of Gospel Greats such as: Tramaine Hawkins, Cissy Houston, Melba Moore etc. 2001, Marie released her debut project “Rise and Live.” Marie's singing ministry has taken her across the country spreading a message of love through her music. Marie has often been called to perform for political figures. She toured Far Rockaway with Mark Green (NYC Public Advocate) prior to his running for Mayor of NYC. 2008, Marie was given the lead role (as Mary) in the revival of the musically “Your Arms Too Short To Box With God” held at the Ritz Theater in Jacksonville, Fl and most recently in 2009, the Comma Morganton Theater in Morganton, NC. Marie loves working in the theater and is humble to be a part of this wonderful Irving Street Production. Marie participated in the VIP Conference in Charlotte, NC New Artist Showcase hosted by Pastor John P. Kee July’08. She performed in The Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) new artist showcase in Nashville, TN. Following her wonderful performance Marie was asked to perform in the night musical. Currently working on her 2nd album self-titled “Marie Della Thomas.” Marie released the first single from her up and coming project entitled “Can’t Find Nobody like Jesus. This Spring Marie released the second single from her new project entitled "Special Gift." Marie wants the world to know Jesus Christ is the special gift! It's all about Jesus and his love for us all!
