Album Notes

In 1960 while in college, Dave Duncan and Curtis Newby joined a Rock and Roll band being formed. The band "Bill and the Shields" played local clubs, bars, fraternity parties and sock hops for several years before disbanding.
Dave and Curtis went their seperate ways after graduation until a chance meeting on an elevator 38 years later in the historic Old Town area of Wichita, Kansas got them back together. They started jammin and soon discovered their common love of early 1950's blues music. They started playing the blues at several local venues and writing much of their own music, thus the Mead Street Blues Reunion was formed. This is the mead Street Blues reunion. So kick back, relax, and enjoy their distictive take on the early blues sounds.
