Coming from many different singing backgrounds, the Medicine Tail Singers have been together for 3 ½ years. Since the start of the group, they have taken their unique style of singing across the U.S. This up-and-coming drum group is made up of many tribes: Coushatta, Creek, Alabama, Cheyenne, Sioux, Choctaw, Shawnee, Ojibwe, Blackfeet, Cree, Delaware, Peoria, Mohawk, and Houma.
This group's second album, "Powwowlicious" was recorded live at the 11th annual Coushatta Powwow celebration in Kinder, Louisiana 2004. This recording truly captures the great sound of Medicine Tail, as well as the powwow itself. Using long-lead lines, twisty words from the Coushatta and Creek languages, and a squad of lady back-up singers, the group's songs take the northern contemporary singing style and make it their own.
"Powwowlicious" is sure to get you moving and grooving to the sounds of Medicine Tail!

This Group is dangerous. Yes, Awesome!

I always listen for what distinguishes one group from another. I'd know these guys anywhere. They actually have a sound all their own. There are others who kick it, but don't sound unique. Such is not the case here. Just listen. And they do both North and South. How many others do that? Keep recording medicine tail. I'll buy anything you got!
