Rock n Roll music is more than a genre, it is something that can bring people together, to free their minds and electrify their spirits. Musician and fan are both part of a family, they rely on one another to feel the positive effects of music. Medusa Stone lives for their family and because of their family.
Medusa Stone headed into the studio on 2004 with Brother Cane/Slave to the System front man Damon Johnson to record the debut album. Johnson's stellar production and experienced engineering provided Medusa Stone with a potent and raw rock n roll debut, which received enthusiastic reviews from both fans and publications. Since recording their first album Medusa Stone has shared the stage with the likes of Leon Russell, American Minor, Mothers Finest, David Lee Roth, Vince Neil, Slave to The System, The Trews, Will Hoge, Hubert Sumlin, Sonny Landruth, BlackFoot and many other great acts. Medusa Stone recorded an EP "Ghosts" to follow up their debut which had fans buzzing for more. The wait is now over and the new full length CD "Shaking Hands" is available HERE.
Experimenting with the guitar since the age of twelve, Medusa Stones front man Justin Fox has played relentlessly to forge his own style. He honed his skills listening to the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters, Hubert Sumlin, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Now he stands poised to breathe new life into a genre of music most have taken for granted.
Bringing the bottom end to this three piece monster on bass is Dave Morse . At the age of thirteen he received his first bass along with a CD of Charlie Mingus, his parents told him to roll with it. Coming from a musical family, Dave grew up listening to such greats as John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Parliament Funkadelic, and Sam & Dave. While studying bass in high school, he was introduced to some of the more current greats such as Victor Wooten, Les Claypool and Stanley Clarke. Learning and loving his instrument quickly became his life's passion. Dave's musical style fits well with Medusa Stones back to the roots approach to rock and roll.
Deep in the pocket sits drummer Jeremy Summers. His natural ability to weave in and out of charging bass lines and scorching guitar riffs takes second chair only to his almost precognitive awareness of his band mates. His soulful style and solid beats anchor this dynamic trio. He began banging the drums at age eight and never stopped. Some of Jeremy's influences are Led Zeppelin, Primus, Fishbone, James Brown, Pink Floyd, and Jane's Addiction. When asked about his favorite drummers, he always lists John Bonham, Clyde Stubblefield, Tim Alexander, Bill Ward, and Mitch Mitchell in his top five. Jeremy definitely gives the band an edgy and stylized sound that defines them as unique.

Great Band!
author: Dino Brava
These guys are one of my favorite bands...and that's saying something cuz I have over 30,000 cd's and/or FLAC music files. Emotion is an integral part of music and these guys have it in spades. The music fits perfectly with the lyrical content of the songs. A great rock band that avoids all of the marketing B.S. and trendy horsecrap that reduces most bands to mere vehicles to be driven down the latest top forty soul sucking highway of mediocrity. These mofos are a 59 corvette with the top down screaming down a curvy super highway ......destination --- eargasmic nirvana!
