Album Notes

Megan Jo Wilson, singer and songwriter from Portland, Maine and her partners in crime, bring two guitars, an upright bass, layers of harmony and some dark ambient sounds for this, her first solo CD, "Seed, Stars, Galaxies."

This pocket full of original songs (aside from the ever-popular original arrangement of Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World") is a mix of heart-breaking folk and moody country that will help you to think, love and take a deep nap.

Her music is inspired by romance, survival and the absurdity of the human heart. She is currently working on two new albums...a country collection of bar-room classics, and a soul/R&B project.

Then on to cut #9 and I am immediately transported to a restaurant with soft lighting and a guy I can't take my eyes off of. When is the next CD baby?

author: Rachel Friedman
Megan Jo Wilson's CD has been my life's soundtrack for the week or so that I've had it. With her honey-like voice she brings you on a journey through life and love, without pretention or affect, full of soul and sage capable of understanding everything from seed to stars to galaxies. I am absolutely in love with this collection of songs.
