In 1999 three members of the newly emerging punk band HALLUCIDOR were killed in a tragic car sex accident. The memory of Switchblade, Rank and Bitchslap will live in our hearts forever. Fortunately the sole remaining member, idiot savant guitarist and songwriter Lester James, undaunted by the sudden twist of fate changed the band name to MEGAXBRAND and proceeded to record the band's music as a solo artist. WOW!

All songs from the brand new cd "Halogen" were recorded to digital 8-track with Mackie mixer using only the bare necessities for production. No world class studios or corporate labels have caused any unnatural contamination to this sonic masterpiece. Orangey, vermillion tones like sun fired from speaker cones. This ain't no whiney un-cat like frat rock. In various makeshift studios both rural and urban the mystic force that is Lester James hammered each musicality into a stunning jewel of sound fusion. When asked about his singular artistic vision L. James had this to say "...as with early work by the Chills we've succeeded in creating a fusion of sound within a rock medium, the summation of which generates a much stronger emotive experience...like sound rain falling down through halogen street lamp colored mist in your mind..."
