oUT AMD PROUD ARTIST MEKOLE WELLS.Mekole began singing in the church at the young age of 5 years old...in the 80's she went under the name Eleesa..hitting billboard charts...with the dance hit "where did your love go" getting caught up in the game of life she put her solo career on hold and began doing background ..for artist carl anderson ,Greg Washington...she has also so shared the stage with Jazz great"johnathan butler" In 1998 Mekole was stabbed 10 times in a vicious attack her throat was cut she was told she would probably never be able to sing again...but through te miralces of heaven ...Mekole is singing better than ever ...and the message of her life survival is heard in her music....the songs "Why" and A place where I am me ...Cahnt the cry for "world Equality" as Shakin hands with me and Brighter day ....tell the story of self realization and self love...Currently playing the "power Woman" in the Off- broadway play Menopause the Musical....and earning her name as a jazz..dance artist...her CD full circle will take you on a journey of life and you too will come "full Circle" with self..
