A New Thing Gets High Praise From Independent Review
BuddyHollywood.com CD Review
Alice Loweecey, New York

A cold day; a crackling fire; curling up in your favorite chair; and Melanie Hart’s strong, rich soprano surrounding you and soothing your heart. Yeah, it's just that easy. “I Can Fall” deftly takes the listener on the journey to seek and find God. The laughter of the little girl in “The Beauty of a Girl” delights you as Melanie prays for her daughter’s faith and future. The title song from her debut CD made me feel that God was singing His promises along with Melanie Hart as she declared her faith.“What You Desire,” “Abide,” “Praising My King,” and “To Live” all speak of what God requires of us and of our struggle and desire to remain connected. They’re more than that, though — the lavish music and vibrant vocals pour Melanie Hart's passion into the listener. The praise song “One More for Him” is an excellent lead-in to “Lullaby for a King.” This isn’t your standard Christmas carol. It blends the happiness of Christmas with the awe of Good Friday and the joy of Easter morning. The final cut, “I Know a River (For the Nations)” brings us out of ourselves and into the larger Body of Christ — His Bride praying for His world. It is an uplifting song that appropriately caps a powerful CD.

Melanie, you are truly unbelievable. I thought your first CD was awesome but you have truly offered a new inspiration to us all. We still remember you in Marion, Ohio. I hope everything is well with you and your family.

This is my favorite CD. I was privilaged to meet and get to know Melanie in Florida last winter before she went back to minister to people in the country of Georgia. She is a WONDERFUL, Spiritual lady and it shows in her songs (that she writes and sings). I played "What You Desire" along with a message I gave at church and the entire congregation LOVED it! We only have 36 members in our church, but when I ordered 10 albums, 9 have sold in 2 weeks. This album is SO VERY inspiring, I listen to it so much that my younger daughter asked if that was ALL I listened to because every time she gets in my car, this CD is playing. She knows I have about 20 other spiritual CD's.

I love this CD. I bought mine last November and wore the first one out and just ordered another. I love I Can Fall and Even More. All great, inspiring songs.

I saw Melanie in concert and her testimony is truly from the heart. Her desire is to share the love of Jesus Christ to the saved and unsaved. After receiving her CD and listening to all of her songs, I am reliving her concert and love for all. May this truly be used for God's glory.
