In the past decade, many bodies of early Celtic period Irishmen were found well-preserved in bogs; others were inadvertently exhumed as a mania of road-building progressed. In two cases, they had been ritually tortured and murdered. In this song, we wonder whether the new “others” for the Irish establishment are its diaspora

7 Violence over the land
The title references Ned Blackhawk's book of the same title about the genocide of the American first nations. By bizarre coincidence, the word for “people” in the Navajo language at Chelly Canyon and Ireland is the same (pronounced roughly “deena”).
