Album Notes

Formed in 1999 this power trio from Idaho merges a reggae-laced mix of smooth and flowing funk rock into a potent cocktail of addictive grooves. Melefluent took over the local music scene in North Idaho with the release of their first studio album “Leap Before You Look” in 2004. Local success paved the way to a rigorous tour schedule over the next two years with an average of 170 shows per year in 26 states including Alaska.
“Ways to Create,” the band’s sophomore effort, is a birth of everything from a little honky-tonk slide shuffle titled “Bum Song” to some good ol’ rockin’ reggae feel in “Fine Women and Wine.” The album depicts the bands tremendous song writing talent and musical versatility as Joe Welk, Darren Wilson, and Joe Kresge methodically exchange instruments, lyrical contributions, and lead vocals from one song to the next. Released in June of 2006 the new album has been successful selling copies in the US and overseas. Melefluent plans to do nothing less than entertain and inspire every ear within listening range in 2007 and beyond.
Melefluent’s diverse yet homogenous sound and multi-genre compatibility has given them the opportunity to share the stage with a wide range of acclaimed artists including Pepper, The Eric McFadden Trio, Sweatshop Union, The Clumsy Lovers, Jerry Joseph, Ten Mile Tide and world music recording artist Mikey Dread just to name a few.

“Balanced with enough spicy tangents to deviate tantalizingly from the jamming norm.”

-Missoula Independent-

"Danceable, tight with a contagious groove."

Very Addictive!

Rockin' cd, no two songs sound alike like some band's cds. All three band members are vox on their own songs, awesome guitar, songs with meaningful lyrics. As I said, very addictive, you want to hear more!
