The ache of kd lang meets the organics of Amy Grant. Melissa has forged a style that suits her powerful voice. Too soft for pop, too hip for adult contemporary, she is an artist in every sense of the word.

Simple Life is my debut CD. I recorded it in Nashville, TN with some amazing musicians. I had no idea at the start of this project how truly blessed I would become by working with such incredible people. Everyone involved in Simple Life brought such wonderful energy to the project. I truly believe it was a group effort and I'm so proud of our final version.
Simple Life is a collection of songs about Love and Life. Most of them were inspired by "moments of growth" in my own life. Eight of the songs are originals or co-writes of mine with my very own sister, Michelle Lewis, and a wonderful friend and co-producer, Angel Roman. The remaining four songs were written by Andrea Stople, Jess Leary, and Tanya Leah.
While in Nashville, I spent considerable time doing session work for songwriters, as well as working on my own material. I recently moved to Los Angeles where I am pursuing my music further. My songs "I Believe" and "Without You" were both placed in the Canadian television series "The Eleventh Hour." I continue to write new material and recently gotten my band together. For performance dates, please visit my website.
I'd like to thank you for taking time to listen to my music. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed creating it. Peace and Love

A varied array of musical styles laced with a truly gifted vocalist.
author: Jill Sissel
Melissa's debut CD, is a wonderful blend of Americana, pop, and country stylings. From the first track, Falling, she writes to the pulse of her passions and inquiries within; always with the desire to share and inspire others going through similar experiences. As well as writing her own songs, Melissa has a great ear for picking songs from other writers as well, as shown in the Andrea Stolpe / Tanya Leah co write, Let Me Be.
This CD packs a walloping sound of funky bass grooves under steel guitar, and soaring electric lead work by Erik Halbig. Put this one on and feel good all day long!

a very nice folky CD
author: Collected Sounds
Melissa Lewis has released a very nice folky CD with just a touch of country twang. Not too much mind you. Just a tad and just on a few songs. Mostly this is a folk-pop recording.

First play and she hooked me with this stong, solid voice... she sings effortlessly and purely and straight on into the heartstrings. Not all selections are ACOUSTIC per se, but most all of them did manage to get into the playlist (insert halo icon here)... Come listen!
