Album Notes

Bill Melton's music isn't operatic ecstasy... it's more like warm mud squishing between your toes. He calls it "Ioway Roots" music. Growing up with a mix of folk, country, blues, pop, bluegrass, and rock-a-billy, he blends them together to make his own unique sound. Bill is a singer songwriter who is continuing on a musical tradition that has been in his family for over five generations.

Bill claims he has only two bad habits- gourmet coffee and eves-dropping, both of which provide him with topics for writing. He sings and writes about things he sees, finding inspiration in everyday life. His CD of original songs "All I Can Say" reflects his life in the midwest.

Bill is a multi-instrumentalist who has literally performed from the muddy banks of the Mississippi to the peaks of the Colorado Rockies. He has performed twice at the Iowa Governor's mansion, as well as the Iowa State Fair, various county fairs and festivals, live radio shows, and numerous clubs and private functions.
