If you like great Gospel Music, you will love Melvin Grice. The sound is captivating and progressive yet very distinct.
The Washington, D.C. native attended and received formal training at the Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts. He is also the recipient of the 2005 Washington Area Music Association Award (Urban/Contemperary category) recognizing him as a "trailblazer" in his genre.
While in the military, Melvin really began to seriously consider a career in the music industry. He participated in and won numerous military and local talent searches. Melvin has opened for Gospel great Kirk Franklin and was a featured soloist with the late legendary Ronald Winans. Only after finishing his military obligation did he truly begin to realize his purpose. Melvin was called, appointed, anointed, and given a charge to reach a seemingly unreachable, lost and forgotten generation.
The message that he conveys is the "Good News" to bring about healing to a hurting world. Open your ears and your hearts to receive the "voice of this generation" as he brings the praise into the millennium and beyond...
