Album Notes

Melvin has that edge his tracks resonate his smooth sound and makes the lady's say yell baby, yell baby! Elevating him to that higher ground where R&B music meets metaphysics. Melvin music will grow to touch mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters everywhere, on every level. Melvin has given contemporary rhythm and blues most effective expression, bringing the soul message to new mass audiences. The key to Melvin art is in his ability to combine many different types of music into a powerful, unified expression of his own feeling. He's does not restrict his self to traditional R&B but unlike some R&B singers. He almost always controls his ability to project and uses it in a tasteful manner rather than for exhibitionistic purposes, such self-control makes hearing him a pleasure, and it shows Melvin's tremendous artistic maturity. Melvin is also a very talented songwriter, producer, and recording engineer. At the age of 9 years old Melvin lead the junior choir, at the age 10 he played in the school band competing with other bands in the State of California. Melvin has performed international in Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya, Yoahama), And Sidney Australia. Melvin is very bless to say his singing ability is a mixture of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Frankie Beverly ofMaze. Melvin a California native has team up with Bill Reed a.k.a. "B-Funk'n Producer, writer, musician and engineer. Within Bill's recording studio the two of them came up with a new innovative R&B sound. "B-Funk'n" called his partner Mikel Hooks, co-writer of the mega-hit "CALIFORNIA LOVE" the late 2PAC. And the "WESTCOAST POPLOCK".This song became West coast anthem just about any where you'd go you'd hear the sing along chorus of "California Knows How To party". Hooks an experienced manger owner of Mean Green Management Company, along with "B-Funk'n formed the record label DOUBLE R RECORDS. The album OOH WEE is the label fourth project and contains thirteen original songs. With all this talent surrounding "Melvin" he can't miss!
