This latest release by Mel White and her awesome "Smiling Heart Singers" features inspirational vocals, many upbeat and some quiet, with non-denominational lyrics that touch the heart and lift the spirit. Mel has begun touring in her self-appointed role as "God's Troubadour and the Johnny Appleseed of Love", spreading this music wherever it's most needed, especially in this post-9/11 world. Visionary Vocalist David Ault (who sings on this CD) says this:

Jeremy Koch, Denene Mulay, Jenny Giering, Heidi Muller, Scott Coulter, David Ault, John Bigelow, Connie Pachl and Antoan Towe are the featured singers, and each song creates its own ambience. Again, musical variety from reggae to "camp sing-along" to gospel to story-telling ballad to cabaret to contemporary hymn brings a fresh feel to every track. The collection is set up so that you can start your day with track 1 and end it with track 18 -- and savor every one in between!

Special mention of an awesome, beautiful performance on "Fences" and Heidi and Antoan's duet collaboration on "Connected". Supporting vocalists are Bob and Melissa Keybida, Brian Mulay and Matt Schicker, Don and Mel White (and Don plays flute and Chris Keybida sits in on conga). It's a "family affair" (Jeremy and Denene are Mel's son and daughter-in-law) that feels good.
