Album Notes
Smoky Memel is a powerful musical phenomenon. With this impressive debut album, he explodes onto the international music scene. The concerts of this soulfully-inspired singer and songwriter sell out all over Europe. He began his singing career on the streets of Europe and then graduated to the prominent stages of the world. He is well traveled and has performed in Africa, Asia, Europe, and now America. His vocals have been described as raw penetrating and intense, with an extremely soulful quality. He sings about his troubled life and problems in the world. Volumes can be written about his hard knock experiences on the streets of the world, where he learned and developed a new category of music, called universal Pop.

This is powerful stuff.
This CD is powerful and unique. I've never heard a song quite like Planet Zero. If the song Falling doesn't chart, I'll hang up my reviewers pen. The Last Ride sets off all kinds of emotions in me. Like Cleveland Street it is moving and well crafted. I think you've got a hit on your hands. With this album a star is born.

Gutsy and powerful.
I've been playing this album over and over again. I can't help it. I especially like listening to the song "Falling". There is something that draws me back to it time and time again. Powerful and gutsy, it taps into my soul. Like the songs "Can't get enough" and "Last Ride" it gets under my skin and compels me to listen. This is an album that should get much attention...I give it five stars.

This cd has some fabulous stuff on it. The voice is so full of soul.
I was so impressed when I heard Smoky on Planet Zero. One song after another is powerful, soulful, and full of meaning. Its been a long time since I have been so impressed by a first work. Cleveland Street, Falling, and Can't get enough, are brilliant. I listened to them over and over again. Smoky Memel is truly a rising star. I can't wait for this artists next effort.

Paris Reviews

Where has this album been all my life.
Wow! Are you kidding...I loved this album. Where have you been. I hope you come to America soon. I would love to see you in concert. I listened to this album over and over again. Falling and Cleveland Street are hits if I've ever heard one. Planet Zero is a unique experience.

Export music review

Smokys performance reminds me of Pop and Rand B music at its best.
This well produced cd has some powerful songs. Smokys soulful voice is special. I would love to hear him in concert. He delivers the lyrics so that you feel the pain and joy of every word. From the haunting "Cleveland Street" and "Falling", to the jazzy "Boo hoo", he hits the mark. The album is very special. I give it five stars. Several songs should be hits. I'd spin the cd on Pop as well as R&B stations.

Annelie Douglass

Great CD, very moving, powerful real life stuff, creative, gripping. Great tunes, nice mixture. Annelie, another soul on a journey who appreciates good music as a gift from the universe.
