This is the third in a unique series of Native American-inspired New Age Music. The music is shamanic, and is used for meditations, healing sessions, inspiration and shamanic journeying. It breaks you free of time as you step into the world of animal totems and power animals.

For thousands of years, indigenous peoples have looked to the animal kingdom for insights into life’s journey. And the concept is gaining acceptance in urban circles at surprising speed. These tracks incorporate the longing, mystery, playfulness and joy of life as told in the lessons of animals on many continents.

In “Raven Medicine” Memo’s drone flute takes you on a plaintive and haunting inner journey. In “Panther Medicine” you can feel the two yellow eyes surveying you from the jungle.

Memo (the Spanish word for “Bill”) is a healer/artist and shamanic practitioner in the Inca tradition. The flute first appeared to him in a shamanic journey called a ‘soul retrieval.’ He incorporated the Native American flute in the practices of opening sacred spaces and divination, and soon began recording music inspired by the powerful healing ways of the Q’ero, the last descendants of the Inca of the high Andes.

Medicine Gift, Volume 3 continues the innovative series of recordings that make shamanic journeying approachable. Sometimes the listener seems to embody the totem, on other tracks we are the sacred witnesses of the animal in its life’s journey.

Inspired by the music of R. Carlos Nakai, Mary Youngblood and Stephen DeRuby, Memo takes the Native American Flute on a quest for light and love.
