On February 4th of 2006 a beautiful and emotional event took place in the Asheville Civic Center – Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. Men In Praise a celebration of heritage, music and dynamic praise made a difference in the lives of its patrons and sponsors. Spirit filled and anointed this concert included ministers and artist from North and South Carolina. This was not just any other night, this night was ordained and aside for the saints of God to experience the presence of the Holy Spirit. The event started out as the brain child of Horace J. Maxile and Terry Letman directors of M.O.D.E. (Musicians Ordered to Distinguished Excellence) and turned out to be a night of incredible praise and adoration. Almost immediately after the concert was over M.O.D.E. and its sister company PROtainment decided it was only appropriate that a recording be created to continue the exaltation, pride and optimism experienced by those involved. Therefore after approximately five months of praying, planning and tireless hours of recording, Men In Praise ’06 was birthed. Including works from Elder Carluse Baird, Pastor Bron Jacobs, Reverend Dexter Cason, Karle Mapp, Reverend John W. Brewster, Reverend Keith A. Ogden, Reverend Dean Logan, Terry Letman, T. J. Blaze, Reverend Odell Suber Jr., this recording is a timeless musical creation inspired by God. Thank God M.O.D.E. had the insight to video record the Men In Praise concert.
