Mike Mennard loves to laugh, and maybe that's why he writes such wacky songs and poems.
Actually, Mike is a professor of English at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. But when he's not teaching Shakespeare, he's writing side-splitting fun, such as:
Sylvia Sue had to go poo
while at the grocery store.
"O, what a bother," announced her father,
so Sue when poo on the floor.
Larimee Lee had to go pee
while at the very same store.
He started to dance, then pulled down his pants,
and Lee went pee on the floor.
Of course, the store smelled worse than before
and the floor was quite a bit wetter.
But Sue and Lee who went poo and pee
certainly felt much better.
Mike is the author of two recent books (2004), both Christian trade books, Can't Keep My Soul from Dancing and Shall We Gather at the Potluck, both available through Review & Herald Publishing.

Seriously great music. My boys (age 3 & 5) love this CD - the songs are so funny and quirky. They always ask to listen to this in the car.. and there are so many songs on it, you never get sick of it.

Listened to it once, laughed all the way through and stopped going to therapy...laughter is the best medicine. My 12 and 13 y/o LOVE it and are singing it all the time. My 12 y/o has memorized nearly all the songs and is singing several at a talent show. It is a MUST have! Prepare to be amused.

My kids really dig this CD, and so do I. We listen together!

The thing that is so amazing about this CD is how well it connects accross all ages. My kids (4 and 7) ask to hear it constantly, and their older grade school and Jr. High cousins love it too. It's the kind of stuff we all like to memorize. I've started to use the songs at the Elementary school where I teach music, so now I've seen this stuff take off with literally hundreds of kids... hilarious, heartsy, ...brilliant! This is simply the best kids CD I've ever heard.
