Album Notes

'The Next Element'...as the title implies, is the next element of Poetry and Vibe spoken word art.

Mental Food weaves words designed to thought provoke, to entertain and inspire all types of folk, through jazz, r&b and hip hop influenced vibes and beats.

Mental Food pushes the creative envelope through challenging and entertaining poetry shrouded in soulful musical vibes that the listener can lay in and feel.

This piece will walk the listener through levels of consciousness and expression designed to at once fill your head, and make you nod your head...to make you at once tap your feet, and tap your life force.

'The Next Element' takes flava to a new level...it is comedy and tragedy, theater and a window's eye view into the world according to Mental Food.

'The Next Element' is what the music audience has been waiting for...the successful manifestation of the hip hop generation's coming of age, and a sense of not having left it's soul and jazz roots behind.

Take a look into the future of music...'The Next Element'.

I have had the pleasure of hearing this CD and found the content, music and prose to be on another level. I had reservations at first given some of the other poetry/spoken word albums. It appears that this group paid attention to their hearts and created from their souls. You can hear it in the performance. I recommend it for all folks. god bless
