Album Notes

THE MEN is a MOD outfit formed out of four already established Swedish bands; The Sinners, The Girls, Thee Expression and Colubrids. They got together a few years ago to form the ultimate live-band; explosive, stylish, tight, groovy, cool and fun (No shoegazers!) – a band the members themselves would love to see.

The first two albums THE MEN (2002) and RETURN (2006) was overwhelmingly received by fans as well as critics both home and abroad. THE MEN got great reviews in Rolling Stone and Scootering just to name a few. They toured mostly in Sweden and Denmark but in December 2007 they played at The International Mod Festival ”Purple Weekend ” in Spain.

After coming home from that ’purple weekend’ manager Joakim Kilenstam persuaded singer Sven and bass-player Ola to join him and start writing new songs. They did so and these brand new smash hits were then instantly recorded at AGM-studios with producer Christoffer Lundquist (Roxette, Gessle, Moneybrother, Brainpool etc)

This is guitar-group-style with high three-part-harmony vocals - recorded live in the studio in a typical THE MEN-manner! But on this third album you can also hear accoustic guitars, hammond-organ, pianet, electric piano, vibraphone, harpsichord and more – and even a flute! The result is simply breathtaking! Joyful and energetic and yet so easy for the group to recreate on stage. As a bonus they also dressed up and made three astonishing music-videos.
