Album Notes

This CD includes 8 original songs written by Dan Menzone.

Dan has been playing banjo for over 30 years and has a very well developed style. For 19 years he toured with Traver Hollow, a CT based bluegrass band. During his career with Traver Hollow, Dan appeared on numerous television shows.
He has received many awards, including being named one of the top banjo players in a European Bluegrass Poll.

This album includes some fantastic players: Wyatt Rice on guitar, Rickie Simpkins on fiddle, mandolin and viola, Ronnie Simpkins on bass and Roger Williams on dobro.

absolutely the best banjo playing ever!!!! I saw Dan at the Joe Val Festival a couple weeks ago (Feb 2008) and he was phenomenal then too!!!

I had heard about Dan for many years but never got the chance to hear him. As the reviews say, his style is a tremedous blend of melodic/chormatic and traditional banjo styles. The rest of the guys on this album are no slouches either. This is sure to be in my regular rotation for some time to come.
