Album Notes

Self inspired music from several years of influence and playing has come to be in this first CD. Having caught some of the flavor of growing up in rural coastal central Florida, the bays and Bayous of those lost days of youth have helped supply a slew of emotional back drop on which these tunes were created. Backed by a solid rhythm section for some of the more produced tunes, along with the occasional improvisational instrumental... a varied mosaic of mood has been created. The honest musicianship and effort of this group shines through on many of the songs along with their haunting melodies.

It’s home-grown, quality musicianship you won’t hear on most

Swamp Angel displays a variety of musical styles but is not incongruous: like an evening at Austin City Limits. It’s sage-brush boogie. Repeated listenings afford a greater depth, particularly tracks 5, onward. It’s driving music. It’s home-grown, quality musicianship you won’t hear on most radio.

A remarkable collection. Great mixture of complex picking and insightful lyrics, especially Compromise and Drivin'Wheel. I'm sharing it with my friends, who are unanimous in praise. Just fits perfectly with the kind of music I like. The instrumentals give me chills. Thanks.
