Album Notes

Michele Mercure is a musician, composer, songwriter, and sound engineer. Her work is varied and extensive. As an electronic musician she has performed live at the Smithsonian Institute and was reviewed by Eurock Magazine as "America's Premiere female synthesist". As a songwriter Michele has released several albums and CD's and throughout the late 1990's was the frontwoman for the alternative band Like Houdini. Yet musically, Michele is perhaps best known for her film, television, and theater scoring.
Michele's television scores range from famous MTV station ID's to cartoon show openings. She has also scored dance performances which have played in such differing locales as Wisconsin and Australia. Michele has scored two feature films to date, Shades of Black and Christmas Dinner.
Michele's musical skill does not stop at composing and performing. As Haverstick Films' sound engineer, Michele records film sound on location and edits sound effects tracks for features and videos. Michele has Hollywood credits for sound on Thomas the Magic Tank Engine (starring Alec Baldwin) and Altoona Riding Club (starring Robert Forrester). Michele has engineered and mixed many notable albums and tracks from artists such as Backdoor Victoria, Modern Icons, Bourbon Princess and Bobbi Carmitchell.
